Hello, Pot

Have you met Kettle?

In a measure of how polarizing a figure Mr. DeLay has become, many conservatives expressed a belief that he was being hounded by political enemies.

"It's driven by hatred and politics far more than substance," said Representative Jack Kingston of Georgia, vice chairman of the Republican conference.

People are fucking retarded, and politicians invariably seem to be even moreso.

Being wrong sucks, getting caught being wrong is worse.

Good riddance, indeed. I missed the Daily Show bit though, as I was watching...I don't know what. The Yankee game, perhaps?

Personally, the only redeeming quality I've found in the Bush Administration is the fodder it provides for the Daily Show. The bit after Cheney shot that dude when they had Rob Corddry talking about how we had to keep hunting the quail to show that we hadn't lost our nerve, and how we couldn't show weakness? Absolutely brilliant. It's going to be so sad when John Stewart leaves.

when is jon stewart leaving????

yeah, love the corddrys too -- did you see the one where rob's younger brother decided to try to go quail hunting?

He hasn't set a date when he's leaving or anything, I just meant like...big picture-wise, chances are he'll leave before the show ends because there was a Daily Show before he signed on (wasn't there?).

And I missed that one, I think. I've been really tempted to get the Daily Show package on iTunes...of course, if I got that then I'd just have to get a video iPod, too...
